A 32-year-old woman fed food laced with poison to her three daughters before trying to commit suicide by consuming it herself following a family dispute with her husband. The incident had reportedly taken place at around 8.00 a.m. this morning (06) at the Ananthapuri area in Nilaveli, Trincomalee. The 32-year-old mother of four had fed the food laced with poison to her three daughters before consuming it herself. Ada Derana reporter said that only the woman’s 2-year-old son had not been fed the poison laced food. She had reportedly attempted the murder-suicide due to a dispute last night with her husband, who is a priest at a Hindu temple in Kilinochchi.
