The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya on Friday commiserated with troops who involved in a ghastly motor accident at Garin Kuturu, along with Maiduguri-Damaturu road Borno State on Thursday. This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by Director Army Public Relations, Brig-Gen Onyema Nwachukwu. The statement said that the troops were involved in the accident while responding to a distress call in the troubled area. He added that Gen. Yahaya lauded the troops for their swift response and urged them to be more circumspect during emergency operational responses.
