Our correspondent learnt that the argument led to a backlog of traffic on the expressway, which forced the FRSC officers to intervene in the matter. Similarly, some armed policemen on escort duties allegedly assaulted some FRSC personnel controlling traffic at the NNPC junction on the Ijebu-Ode-Ore Expressway. It was gathered that the escorts drove against the traffic on the road around 10.25am and were cautioned by the personnel as other motorists followed them. Also, a motorist in a Mazda bus with number plate AAA 249 VX knocked down an FRSC officer at the Kwakiyama area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The FRSC Sector Commander, Clement Oladele, urged motorists to drive cautiously as the driver/owner of any vehicle impounded risk prosecution and seizure.
