Muhyiddin, who became Malaysia's eighth prime minister on March 1,2020, said he discharged his duties and responsibilities for the sake of the people and nation. "So, that's my commitment and I can tell Malaysians that I will be committed to upholding my responsibility as the prime minister. If there are people saying abah (father, in reference to the prime minister) is the best, well and good. I will be questioned in the hereafter what I did for my people as the prime minister. Somebody had the mandate but (following) a crisis, I was appointed (as the prime minister).
