To curb the menace of fake tickets and ID cards, the Maharashtra government has decided to introduce a Universal Travel Pass with a QR code for travelling on Mumbai local trains . Similarly, if a person has a Degree 2 pass, they will only be able to travel if the limitation level is 1 or 2. A Degree 5 pass holder will be able to access the local trains regardless of the level of restrictions. To obtain the Universal Travel Pass, one will have to register online on the website of the Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation department of Maharashtra – msdmacov19.mahait.org. The process of issuing the universal travel pass has already commenced.
