The State Security Criminal Court on Tuesday sentenced Muslim Brotherhood leader Mahmoud Ezzat and 36 others to life imprisonment. It also sentenced 27 others to 15 years imprisonment, six defendants to 10 years, and three to five years. The court sentenced two defendants to one year in prison, suspended for three years, with one year of probation. The court ordered Ezzat and 28 others to pay LE7,054,734,104 to the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority as compensation, and that Ezzat and 44 others be placed under probation for five years after serving their sentences. It also dismissed the criminal case against the defendants Ibrahim Munir and Mahmoud Mohamed due to their deaths.
