Family members have told how they suspected both siblings were battling depression and "couldn't live without each other". Paddy Doherty, the Celebrity Big Brother winner and My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star, asked his fans to pray for the Smith twins' family, including their parents and grandmother. Billy Welch, national spokesman for Britain’s Romani community, said there are high suicide rates within the travelling population.
