Reading former Buffalo News editor Margaret Sullivan’s recent column on TheGuardian.com about getting back to vinyl got me thinking (not an easy lift!) Seems that last year, her children gifted her a turntable, speakers, and one vinyl LP — a Bob Dylan compilation. After hooking it all up in her Manhattan apartment, “We put on the Dylan album,” she told us, “And from the start, I was charmed.”My vinyl journey, like Sullivan’s, started decades ago. Only played once.” “Who would play it only once?” I asked the record shop guy. Another sticker told me it was going for 50 bucks.
