For the National Treasury, 2019 was a year of reworking our different policy frameworks to support the economy. Apart from that, we managed to design a Debt Policy and Borrowing Frame work improve the quality of debt management decisions, debt statistics, analysis, reporting and dissemination and commitment to financial planning. These, together with other debt management policies like the capping of public debt at 9.1 trillion is likely sustainably manage our debt obligation. Recently, the National Treasury and Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) led a host of both national and county government agencies in re-looking at the country's wage bill. The National Treasury will establish a project implementation unit to monitor implementations of on-going projects with a view of raising Red flag should there be delays on bottle necks along the way.
