With me in my late 40s and him not far shy of 60, he’s suddenly decided we should have another baby. Our baby days are well and truly a thing of the past, or so I thought. But despite the fact that I miss those wonderful hazy baby and toddler days, I’m realistic too. What’s more, with four healthy children I really feel like it would be tempting fate to try for a fifth, especially when we are both considered “geriatric” in parenting terms. If we had a baby now my husband would be 67 by the time the child was 10 – something that seems incredibly unfair on the child.
