The anonymous Op-Ed by a senior Trump official published in The New York Times rocked the White House and grabbed headlines around the world. President Trump is urging the Justice Department to find out who wrote what he called “treason.”The Republican writer defended many of the aims of the Trump administration, but portrayed him- or herself as part of the “resistance” within it to thwart the president’s “more misguided impulses.” The assertions largely backed accounts in Bob Woodward’s new book, “Fear,” due out Tuesday. The Times received more than 18,000 comments on the Op-Ed, and more than 23,000 questions from readers. The Times’s Op-Ed editor, James Dao, answered a selection. (The Times newsroom was not involved in the Op-Ed.)
