NBCNews.com has bested the New York Times in monthly unique visitors for three months straight, a milestone for NBC in the ever-competitive digital traffic race. The digital news organization ended the third quarter of 2023 with an average of 89 million unique visitors, according to data from Comscore shared with Mediaite by NBC. In September, NBC drew 91 million uniques, while the Times drew 76 million uniques. CNN continued its spree at the top of the traffic charts, with 121 million uniques. In January 2023, it poached Rebecca Blumenstein, who now serves as NBC News president of editorial, from the Times.
