The National Cohesion and Integration Commission has called for calm in Marsabit county, amid rising inter-community clashes. NCIC said it will continue working closely with the people and other government agencies in the area, to ensure there is peaceful co-existence. "We urge the security team to bring to book the perpetrators, financiers, schemers and executors of these savage acts of violence." Mutyambai warned the perpetrators that their days are numbered as they had dispatched a multi-agency team of specialized security officers led by the GSU to restore peace and order. "The government expresses dismay over protracted animosity between communities in Marsabit," he said.
