Latest: The operator of the NCT test centres is working to resolve the issues with its lifts "as a matter of the utmost urgency" in order to resume full testing as soon as possible. The RSA has noted that the Vehicle Inspection Reports will indicate a 'Fail' result in tests. If their NCT is due, vehicle owners should make a booking as normal and keep their NCTS test appointments. It follows similar moves in Northern Ireland, where MOT testing was suspended after inspections of testing lifts found that 48 of 55 had cracks. Condition surveys are now set to be undertaken at all 47 NCT test centres.
