The incident occurred in front of the Narsingdi Government Mahila College in West Kanda Para on Tuesday noon. The victim, identified as Shanta Akhter, 31, works as a loan officer for NGO ASA. According to the police and locals, Shanta was returning to her office in Bajir intersection on Tuesday noon after collecting loan installments from the West Kanda Para area. When Shanta resisted, the snatchers severed her left wrist with a cleaver and took away her mobile phone, tab, and Tk2 lakh.
