The hotline would remain open from early hours of Saturday till 10pm on Monday, where monitoring authorities will remain active to respond immediately to distress callNational Human Rights Commission Bangladesh (NHRCB) has opened a control room and a hotline where the concerned citizens can report any complaints regarding violence during the national polls. The emergency hotline number is 16108 which will stay open 24 hours from December 29 to December 31. Individuals facing or witnessing polls time violence across the country have been urged to report via the hotline as soon as possible, according to meeting sources. Farzana Sayeed, spokesperson of the NHRCB, said the commission have also sent letters to all concerned authorities including Election Commission for cooperation.
