NOC resumes production at Sinawen oil field after three-year halt

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced the resumption of production at the Sinawen oil field in the Nalut area after a suspension of more than three and a half years. It said the Arabian Gulf Oil Company had begun gradually restarting production after completing maintenance work and addressing operational bottlenecks, while fully adhering to safety and efficiency standards. The corporation described the move as part of its strategic plan to boost output, strengthen state revenues and support the national economy. It added that the Sinawen field, inaugurated in 2020, is considered a key component of oil infrastructure in western Libya. The gradual resumption of pumping is expected to raise production rates and provide additional resources to support local development projects and essential services.
