NT$440m kindergarten subsidies improve facilitiesBy Hollie Younger / Staff writer, with CNAThe Ministry of Education today unveiled the results of a NT$440 million (US$13.77 million) subsidy program launched last year for local governments to improve teaching environments and facilities in public kindergartens. A further government plan to promote reading in kindergartens between last year and next year allocated an additional NT$170 million (US$5.32 million) for municipal and county governments.
