Fifteen PSV and private vehicle motorists were arrested for drunk driving and other traffic offences on Saturday night on the Nkubu-Meru highway. During the NTSA crackdown, some of the motorists refused to use the breathalyser to test the alcohol content in their bodies. Meru traffic boss Nelson Taliti said the crackdown will continue until all motorists obey traffic rules. Meanwhile, the death toll of a Friday accident has reached 16, with at least nine having been buried on Saturday. Passengers in the four cars were treated and discharged.
