5 months of pain ends as doctors remove needle left in woman’s wombA broken needle left inside 23-year-old Evaline Wairimu during childbirth five months ago has finally been removed following an operation at Murang’a Level Five Hospital. But after months of unexplained pain, she was “horrified” by what she saw on the x-ray. X-rays and CT scans taken at Thika Level 5 Hospital revealed that she had a broken needle inside her. She went back to the same Kirwara hospital where she was operated on again, but they were unable to remove the broken surgical needle. “My hope and prayer was that the broken needle would be removed to end my pain and misery, I thank God the prayer was answered,” she added.
