Murkomen lectures Cherargei in public for advancing tribalismRoads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has criticised Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei for allegedly opposing one of the contractors chosen to pave a road simply because he was not a Kalenjin. Speaking in his Kalenjin dialect during a function on Friday, Murkomen told the senator that at least President William Ruto was not using his brain. If the President was using a brain like yours, we would not be having the country now. The vocal senator defended his seat in the last election on the UDA party of President William Ruto after serving in the last Parliament together with Murkomen, who was representing the people of Elgeyo-Marakwet. However, the Senator is a close ally to President Ruto and has been defending him even when the country is complaining about the high cost of living.
