They are also leading calls to investigate the reported massacre of Yazidi women in Baghouz. Many of the female victims are believed to be the same Yazidi women and girls abducted by Daesh in Sinjar in August 2014. The recent mass murder puts more pressure on the international community to find the remaining Yazidi women and girls. The most appropriate courts to investigate and prosecute Daesh fighters would be the International Criminal Court or an ad-hoc tribunal. It will take time before this evidence (and any other evidence obtained by the Investigative Team) could be used to prosecute Daesh fighters.
