Pic by Antony GitongaThe county government of Nakuru has embarked on the process of waiving rent arrears for residents living in one of the largest and informal settlements in Naivasha. The county has targeted County Council estate which is home to over 5,000, majority of whom work in flower farms. Naivasha Sub-County administrator Julius Nyaata claims the residents owed the county millions of shillings in rent arrears.
