The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested a Principal of a Secondary school in Narok County for allegedly demanding a Sh50,000 bribe from a supplier. The school head is said to have solicited the amount from a businessman dealing with the supply of general merchandise to the school. EACC Spokesperson Eric Ngumbi said that the Principal was apprehended after pocketing Sh40,000 as part of the demanded bribe. He was later escorted to Ntulele Police Station in Narok where he is currently detained pending further processing on Thursday. The Principal allegedly demanded the bribe as a condition for releasing the supplier cheque in payment for goods worth Sh410,000 supplied to the school.
