THE Nasarawa State Government has abandoned a multimillion naira Akwanga modern market. The market was commissioned in 2016 to serve traders of Akwanga Local Government Area. Nigerian Tribune visit to the abandoned market, revealed that grasses, reptiles, and other dangerous animals have taken over the market as the market overhead tank was covered with grasses. When contacted via phone, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Tanko Zubairu, denied that the government has not abandoned the market.
