The virus has impacted and given rise to issues such as public health, the economy, and social unrest. The answer to safely reopen the U.S. economy and strike the right balance with public health safeguards is inextricably linked with contact tracing. COVIDSafe, the Australian Government's Covid-19 tracing app, had 2 million downloads within 24 hours after its release. However, there are trade-offs when adopting contact tracing. In order to protect our current and future generation, we need to develop a national contact tracing system.
