The CEO of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization Ahmed Ghnem announced the museum’s opening hours during Ramadan as 9:00 am to 3:00 pm daily. In an upcoming meeting, the museum will discuss a proposal by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Anany to open the museum after Iftar meal on specific days, Ghnem added. The museum opened its doors to visitors on April 4 following Saturday’s transfer of 22 royal mummies from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, which will be ready for display at the Royal Mummies Hall starting from April 18.
