Nearly 1,500 premises near Edenderry added to high-speed broadband areaNational Broadband Ireland (NBI), the company delivering high-speed fibre broadband on behalf of the Government under the National Broadband Plan has announced that Edenderry has now been connected to high-speed fibre broadband. NBI said its connection of Edenderry means that 1,446 homes and businesses in the area can now access high-speed fibre broadband. Across Offaly, a total of almost 11,500 homes, farms and businesses can place an order for high-speed broadband through NBI. TJ Malone, Chief Executive Officer, National Broadband Ireland, said: "We are delighted to announce that almost 1,500 Offaly homes, businesses and farms near Edenderry can now connect to NBI’s high-speed fibre broadband. "Those connected are experiencing the life-changing benefits of high-speed fibre broadband with minimum speeds of 500 megabits per second," he said.
