Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont is a progressive in good standing, but he better watch out if he keeps speaking economic truths that don’t fit with national Democratic Party orthodoxy. Mr. Lamont, who has experience in the private economy, told a crowd at the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday that he opposes an extension of the federal government’s $600-a-week enhanced unemployment benefit when it expires on July 31.
