This summer, the Nelson Mail spearheaded the Wasp Wipeout campaign, waging battle against the invasive insects using a special wasp-killing bait developed in the Nelson region. The Nelson Mail and Stuff are campaigning to curb the damaging impact of wasps on our environment. The Nelson Mail campaign team partnered with the Department of Conservation and conservation groups for the community-led project to reduce the wasp population.
