The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Unit of the police has arrested Ahsan Zahir Khan (50), an ‘Ehsar’ member of the banned militant organization Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), during a raid in the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area of the capital. The operation was carried out in the south-western part of the Zia Udyan Lake area under Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station. CTTC sources said that Ahsan Zahir Khan is an active member of Neo-JMB. Ahsan Zahir Khan already faces a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act filed at Fulbaria Police Station in Mymensingh district. He has been produced before a court on Monday in connection with a newly filed Anti-Terrorism Act case at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station.
