PETALING JAYA: Standing at 179cm, it’s obvious that most of An Najwa Azzan’s teammates look up to her. Najwa, a two-time SEA Games champion, is currently playing for Group B leaders Selangor Angels in the inaugural Netball Super League (NSL) which is being held during weekends at Stadium Juara in Bukit Kiara. She headed to Australia in 2018 and played for a season with second-tier GWS Fury, a New South Wales Premier League outfit. “Our structure is not firm yet, so I want to do my part to lift the standards, ” added Najwa. We’ve never had a league like this before and I hope we will only grow from here, ” said Najwa.
