New £5.1bn Premier League TV rights deal will give extra £100m to lower league clubs


The deal will keep 128 Premier League matches on Sky, 52 on BT Sport and 20 games on Amazon with highlights staying on the BBCThe Premier League has agreed to pay lower league clubs an extra £100 million in order to secure government approval for a three-year extension of existing domestic TV deals which will be worth £5.1 billion to England’s top flight. The deal will mean Sky, BT Sport and Amazon will each keep their share of matches, with the BBC retaining its highlights rights for Match Of The Day, until 2025.
