When the New England Patriots and Houston Texans kickoff tonight at 8:15 PM, the Patriots will stand just one win away from the AFC Championship Game. So much for Tom Brady's four-game suspension derailing the Patriots' season! Over the past two years, the NFL has spent, at a minimum, several hundred thousand dollars in legal fees attempting to uphold NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's suspension of Tom Brady. After a prolonged investigation into Tom Brady's purported role in the January 2016 DeflateGate scandal, Commissioner Goodell suspended Tom Brady for the first four games of the 2015-16 season. But, ultimately, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit reinstated Brady's suspension for this season instead.
