New LPA in sight over Eastern Samar — PAGASA

New LPA in sight over Eastern Samar — PAGASAMANILA, Philippines — State weather bureau PAGASA on Monday said it is monitoring a new low pressure area seen over Eastern Samar. Per the agency's latest forecast, the LPA was at 350 kilometers east southeast of Borongan City in the said province this afternoon. Still, PAGASA said it will bring cloudy skies, rains and thunderstorms tonight over Eastern Visayas and Surigao provinces. Should this LPA intensify, it will be called "Emong" based on PAGASA's tropical cyclone names for this year. PAGASA said the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, also with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
