New Plymouth Airport’s redevelopment is a finalist in the Prix Versailles Airports 2021 awards. New Plymouth Airport’s $28 million revamp is one of six international finalists for a prestigious global award. New Plymouth is up against an $8 billion upgrade at New York’s La Guardia Airport, Berlin’s Brandenburg Airport, Athens International Airport, Kazakhstan’s Hazrat Sultan International Airport and the Philippines’ Clark International Airport for the Prix Versailles Airports 2021 award. “We believe Prix Versailles understand that significance and are prepared to recognise the fact despite our relative size. The winners of the Prix Versailles Airports 2021 will be named at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Headquarters in Paris in November.
