New SBI OTP scam alert: Steps to avoid getting duped

The most important thing that one is asked to do is not to click on any link and never to disclose your One-Time Password (OTP). In the message, they ask you to update your KYC through a link that is present in the message itself. Once you click on the link, it takes you to a site that resembles the original site of SBI. After you reach the site, you are asked to type in your SBI banking details like your username, password, captcha infirmation etc. If you use net banking, then do not click on the bank related link found in any message.
