The New York attorney general’s office is investigating whether the Trump Organization and President Trump improperly inflated the value of Mr. Trump’s assets in financial filings, according to court papers made public Monday that seek to compel company executives to comply with subpoenas. Eric Trump, who leads the Trump Organization, has refused to testify, the New York attorney general’s office said. “They have stalled, withheld documents and instructed witnesses, including Eric Trump, to refuse to answer questions under oath.”The White House referred a request for comment to the Trump Organization. A spokeswoman for the Trump Organization called it “a discovery dispute” and said the company had done nothing wrong. New York Attorney General Letitia James speaking earlier this month.
