New York Manufacturing Activity Holds Steady in July — NY Fed

The Empire State Manufacturing Survey's general business conditions index fell six points to 1.1 from 6.6 in June. The index signals that activity was little changed in July, with delivery times continuing to shorten and inventories steadily declining. The new orders index was little changed at 3.3 from 3.1 last month, while shipments fell nearly nine points to 13.4 from 22 in June. The price paid index ticked down to 16.7 from 22 in June and the price received index fell to 3.9 from 9 the month before.
