An 82-year-old woman who had an underlying respiratory condition is New York state’s first novel coronavirus death, New York Gov. Mr. Cuomo said the woman, who died in New York City, had emphysema. As of Saturday, the state has 524 cases of coronavirus, with more than 100 people hospitalized. The state is planning to soon open a new drive-through coronavirus testing site in Long Island. Mr. Cuomo said the state was considering the parking lots at Jones Beach as a possible location.
