"Sophie stood out as a really sharp editor," said David Renard, a senior editor on the Culture desk. Metro has now confirmed these reports, and we are very happy to announce that Sophie has now officially joined our desk as a senior staff editor. Sophie joined The Times in 2021 as part of the first cohort of editing residents, doing rotations through Flex, Live and Culture before landing at Metro. Sophie previously worked at Inc. magazine, first as a web producer and later reporting and editing.
