New Yorkers appear to be launching fireworks at one another in shocking footage shared online Thursday evening. Clips shared on Twitter on Thursday show groups of people running through the streets, appearing to take aim at others with the devices. It is not know exactly where the footage taken or if any police action was taken. Footage taken earlier in the week shows firefighters in Crown Height lighting their own illicit display. An NYPD spokesperson stressed that fireworks are illegal in New York City and urged people to report violations involving them.
