A bar veteran aims to open a cocktail lounge on Exchange Street this spring. Called The Teal Duck, the bar will be located at 8 Exchange St., formerly the site of The Bar and Bites, which closed in 2023. “I want having a nice cocktail and good quality food to not be a luxury for the upper-middle and higher classes.”The Teal Duck’s bar program will be cocktail-centric, with riffs on classic craft cocktails running between $10-$15. The kitchen will offer a menu of snacky items like marinated vegetables and themed charcuterie boards. Allegue expects The Teal Duck will be open seven days from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
