A new mini-golf course will open in Palmerston North, New Zealand early next month. Built by The Middle District Lions Club, the 18-hole course began construction in February, costing an estimated NZ$350,000 (US$199,000). Dennis Wan, a member of the club, said that 5,000 hours of voluntary time was contributed by members to the course. Action was taken to preserve the area's greenery, such as some of the location's large trees which provide shade for visitors. The course will provide F&B refreshments such as ice cream and soft drinks to visitors.
