The circulating footage shows thick smoke and fire consuming sections of the base following the attacks. According to reports, the base was targeted twice by missiles during the exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah fighters in the area. Ghana has been a long-standing contributor to UN peacekeeping operations, with troops currently serving in several missions worldwide, including the UNIFIL deployment in southern Lebanon.
