A group of Sunderland fans were attacked when they broke away from the police escort and walked through Newcastle supporters, the Telegraph’s Luke Edwards reported on X. They said said: ‘We are aware of a number of videos circulating on social media in relation to Newcastle United and Sunderland supporters goading one another.
