His wife Hannah Allen posted a devastating tribute to him yesterday, calling him her 'best friend' and saying she feels 'beyond blessed to have loved him in this life'. On April 27, Hannah wrote a Facebook post proudly announced she had become Hannah Allen a couple of months before in a civil wedding. "Allen first arrived at the 48th Fighter Wing in Feb. 2020 and is survived by his wife and parents." The American jet, based at the 48th Fighter Wing, RAF Lakenheath, was reported to have been flying on a routine training mission when it went down. Just over an hour before the crash, the RAF Lakenheath 48th Fighter Wing had posted a picture on Twitter of a trio of its jets flying in formation.
