Nigel Farage today said he will miss being the European Union's 'pantomime villain' as he predicted the UK's departure from the bloc will herald its demise. The leader of the Brexit Party will step down as an MEP on Friday after a 21 year career in the European Parliament as Britain finally splits from Brussels at 11pm on January 31. Mr Farage has long led the fight for the UK to quit the bloc and he is now on his victory lap. The Brexit Party MEP has been the parliament's provocateur-in-chief during his time there. Mr Farage will mark the moment of Brexit on Friday night by hosting a party in Parliament Square outside the Palace of Westminster.
