The Federal Ministry of Health says it will implement the 2020 National Oral Health Policy, which will address the burden of oral diseases in the country. An oral health policy helps to harness political, economic and socio-cultural factors at the individual, family, community, national and international levels. According to her, the policy when finalized, will produce 2020 National Oral Health Policy. She said that the policy would be ready before the next National Council on Health in June, 2020. Meanwhile, according to the draft policy, since the development of the 2012 National Oral Policy, there have been more research-based evidence showing the rising prevalence and burden of oral health problems.
