There are plenty of worthy candidates for unofficial MVP of the first round of this postseason, but the Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokic has been steadier, and arguably better, than any of them. For the first and only time in Game 5, Jokic took over the flow and scored eight straight points in just over a minute. This is exactly the kind of player Jokic has been his for his entire career. The nine assists he's averaging this postseason trail only the already-eliminated Russell Westbrook. He's a consummate team player.
